For nearly a year and a half I joined Oddfellows to help creative direct alongside Jarrett Moody and lead the design team with Esther Moon and Mariah Barnaby-Norris to create over thirty minutes of animated content including four long form explainer videos, an iconography system, as well as spot illustrations for the How YouTube Works website. The system jumped off what YouTube had previously explored, simplifying and cleaning up the overall style and putting as much personality as we could in content that was very dry and informative. The videos outlined many of the policies that YouTube enforces and how to thwart misinformation and harassment. This was probably the most ambitious leadership I have helped helm and we had some of the best animators to pull it all off. Collaborating with producers Dennis Samatulski and Lisa Edwards through the course of the project was also an absolute pleasure.
