TBS was presenting the legendary Steve Martin with an AFI Lifetime Achievement Award, and I, along with my chums at Black Math, had the honor and privilege of designing the promo for it. As I was, and always will be, a HUGE Steve Martin fan—this was a dream project.

We opted for a pop art aesthetic, blending illustrations over iconic photographs of Steve, along with illustrated vignettes capturing some of his most recognizable characters from film. I also incorporated funky patterns, Toy Story clouds (no relation to Steve, I just love them), and charming hand-lettered typography to complete the look.
