Remade reached out to me to assist with an upbeat and charming pitch for Visa Cybersource—a platform offering a customer-friendly payment experience with automated fraud protection, seamless tech integrations, and 24/7 support, all designed to enhance the digital-first approach to customer experience.
The pitch involved two separate scripts, and I opted to approach each one with a unique style.
Script 01
For the first script, I took a “hands-on” approach, quite literally, by making hands the central characters that drive the narrative. It kicks off with a hand flipping a coin, and from that, data lines elegantly flow, shaping into a rectangle. The hands then skillfully transform the rectangle into a mobile phone. As a finger taps a button, the phone explodes, revealing the intricate workings of the Cybersource product. Finally, the hands give each other a hi-five, transforming the data into the Cybersource logo mark to wrap up the proposed animation.
For the second script, I created a variety of characters that seamlessly blend highly abstracted shapes and proportions with intricate line art. In the world these characters inhabit, shapes come to life – doors and windows animate from inanimate squares. A woman, navigating this unique environment, orders a coffee for herself and a friend. A Visa is swiped, the transaction promptly logged, and life smoothly carries on.
She joyfully greets her friend with the coffee, revealing the friend's happiness, and life continues its natural course. Boarding her train to work, we peer inside the train, witnessing others on their phones making purchases and managing their accounts.
Script 02
Gradually zooming out, a city constructed of shapes unfolds, transforming into a bustling the narrative to a satisfying close. The sequence concludes with more people playfully interacting with their accounts and exploring the features of Cybersource. A hand slides a token into a slot, seamlessly transitioning to the logo mark, bringing the narrative to a satisfying close.
